A session with me is like…

Let’s dive right into the end goal from the session — beautiful images to cherish for a lifetime. So how do we get there? Whether you need help with wardrobe or finding a perfect location, that’s what I am here for. I know prepping for photos, especially with a family to get ready as well, can be a little overwhelming. If you’re not sure where you’d like to have your session- let’s talk about it. We can narrow down your vibe and desired outcome and brainstorm locations together. I have a handful of locations I love to shoot at, and we will make sure to find one that is right for you.

I know that organizing outfits can be a daunting task, so please- let me help! Did you know that I have a client closet in the studio? Actually, I have two. The first is a tiny client closet for, you guessed it, my tiny little clients. These outfits can be used for milestone sessions as I have a variety of 3 month to 18 month outfits. The other client closet is for the mamas. I have a collection of dresses (visit my Instagram highlight titled ‘client closet’ for photos and sizing). Any of my mama clients are welcome to use a dress for their session both in studio or outdoor. If you are wanting to borrow one for an outdoor session, just give me some notice so that I can grab it from the studio for you. Even if you do not want to use one of my dresses, I am happy to send outfit help or advice if you need it. My biggest piece of advice is for the moms- find your outfit first. Something that you feel confident and beautiful in. The rest will fall into place from there.

Once we are at the session, just remember (especially with little kids) just go with the flow. I know it’s hard not to go in with certain expectations, but I also know that sometimes kids tend to not care about those expectations. Don’t worry- it’s my job is to document you just as you are. Take a deep breath and just keep on smiling. My sessions are very much focused on details, play, and connection. Whether that is a lot of snuggles, exploring, or running around- we will get the end result one way or another. I will give you prompts and provide some cues for ice breaking laughter to put you at ease. This isn’t my first rodeo, so trusting me and the process is key.
